Is the MLS® and www.realtors.ca the same thing? NO. When a listing is on the MLS® does that mean every REALTOR® and their clients see it? Not necessarily!
The web site known as realtors.ca is where one can find REALTOR® residential listings; there is the icx.ca web site for commercial, farm and land type listings. Both are professional real estate industry advertising sites.
MLS® system refers to regional property for sale data based information that is only available to REALTORS®. If your property is in Hamitlon and you have listed with a brokerate in another town, usually with one of the firms offering zero commision basd services, your property may appear on realtors.ca and may not appear on the MLS® system in Hamilton. It would not then be known to the many REALTORS® Association of Hamilton-Burlington members. Your property will be unknown to the many buyers in that community.
MLS® and realtor.ca or icx.ca are not the same thing.
